The demo today
The free build covers the opening of the story through the first half of Chapter 2 — over three hours, in nine languages, with a planned update to complete Chapter 2. Everything written here is based on that build plus the studio's own announcements, checked on 18 October 2026.
The world
Rain98 is set in Tokyo in 1998, in a rain that never ends, and its protagonist lives with a girl who wants everything to stop. The story and setting page covers the premise, Reina Amehara covers the character, and 1998 Shibuya covers the city you walk through with her.

Campaign details come from the Rain98 and Rain98 Demo Steam store pages and the studio's Steam announcements. Screenshots are the developer's official store art, and game trademarks belong to C#4R4CT3R. Ending counts, console platforms and a release date have not been published by the studio.
