Privacy policy

Quick answer

This static site sets no accounts and stores nothing on its own server; the demo checklist is kept in your browser's local storage.

Rain98 Guide is a static website. It sets no accounts, takes no logins and stores nothing about you on a server of its own.

What is collected

  • Analytics — the site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which guides are read. Google's analytics cookies are set by Google, not by us, and the data is aggregated.
  • Web analytics beacon — Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may add its own anonymous traffic measurement.
  • No forms, no accounts — there is nothing to sign up for and no form that submits data.
  • Local storage — the progress checklist on the demo guide page saves your ticks in your own browser using localStorage. That data never leaves your device and can be cleared with the page's reset button.

Advertising

This site may display third-party advertising. If ads are shown, the ad network may set its own cookies to measure impressions. Those cookies belong to the network, and its privacy policy — not this one — governs what it does with them.

Your choices

  • Block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
  • Use your browser's tracking protection to limit analytics.
  • Email the address on the contact page to ask a question about this policy.

Guides link to official sources such as Steam, the studio's YouTube channel, X and Discord. Once you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page. It was last reviewed on 18 October 2026.
